We are continuing to adopt more sustainable practices throughout Carr & Day & Martin and a big focus in recent times has been alternative product packaging without compromising on quality to reduce our environmental footprint. The most recent product to get revamped packaging is our much loved Belvoir Tack Conditioning Bar, swapping out the plastic tray for a more sustainable wax paper and cardboard outer.

Belvoir Tack Conditioning Bar has been a tack room staple, trusted for generations for its quality and effectiveness in caring for leather. The tack conditioner has a recognisable smell that brings back lots of good memories for so many who grew up with horses or attended pony camps and continue to use it to this day. “My earliest memory was from when I was 6 cleaning my first pony Humphrey’s bridle in the back garden on a sunny day, I had been taught you should take your tack a part to clean – the only problem being once Id take it a part I couldn’t remember how to put it back together so I had to get my pony books out and study the pictures to work out which bits went where – it kept me quite for hours lol 
 (I am now 52 and still take my bridle apart every time to clean)
